Before your appointment, we encourage you to contact your insurance company to verify your coverage for endocrinology and any specific procedures, confirm whether a referral or prior authorization is required, and understand your copay, deductible, and coinsurance. Our staff is glad to help answer questions and will work with you and your plan wherever possible.
Referrals & Prior Authorizations
Some plans — particularly HMO and IPA plans — require a referral from your primary care physician before a specialist visit, and certain procedures may require prior authorization. If your plan requires a referral, please arrange it with your primary care provider in advance so we can see you without delay. Our team can guide you through what your specific plan requires.
