Innovation & Technology
Advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive procedures — many available in few other San Diego practices.
As a physician-scientist–led practice, we adopt proven advances early and responsibly. The result is a level of in-office diagnostic and procedural capability that few endocrine practices in the region can match — giving our patients alternatives to surgery, hospitalization, and one-size-fits-all medication.
Interventional Endocrinology
We are among the first practices in San Diego to offer ultrasound-guided thyroid radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and ethanol ablation — minimally invasive, in-office procedures that treat benign thyroid nodules and selected neck lesions without surgery, scars, or general anesthesia. Our thyroid RFA outcomes were selected for presentation at ENDO 2026, the Endocrine Society’s annual meeting. Learn more about interventional thyroid care →
Advanced Thyroid & Neck Ultrasound
Dr. Schneider holds the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists — a credential held by relatively few endocrinologists. High-resolution, in-office neck ultrasound allows precise evaluation of thyroid nodules, lymph nodes, and parathyroid disease, and guides our interventional procedures in real time.
Diabetes Technology
We bring the full range of modern diabetes technology to patient care, including continuous glucose monitoring and the Eversense long-term implantable CGM, which we insert in the office. For the right patients, these tools transform day-to-day diabetes management and long-term outcomes.
Non-Invasive Liver Elastography
Metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is closely tied to diabetes and obesity. We offer non-invasive, ultrasound-based liver elastography to assess liver stiffness and fibrosis in the office — sparing many patients the need for a liver biopsy and allowing earlier, better-informed treatment decisions.
Clinical Research Access
Through our affiliated research center, EndoTrials, eligible patients can participate in clinical trials in diabetes, obesity, thyroid, and metabolic disease — often gaining access to therapies years before they reach general availability. Explore our clinical research →
