Eloralintide + Tirzepatide in Overweight & Obesity
A study of LY3841136 (eloralintide), a GIP receptor agonist, given together with tirzepatide in adults who are overweight or have obesity.
About This Study
What is being studied?
This study evaluates LY3841136 (eloralintide) — an investigational GIP receptor agonist — given in combination with tirzepatide in adults who are overweight or living with obesity. The primary focus is safety and tolerability, with body-weight change and the drug’s pharmacokinetics assessed as secondary measures.
Why combine these agents?
Tirzepatide is already a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. Adding eloralintide is intended to explore whether further engaging the GIP pathway can enhance weight-management outcomes. Because this is an early-phase study, careful safety monitoring is central to the design.
Eligibility Criteria
Who can participate?
Eligibility is confirmed at a screening visit. The summary below covers the main criteria; our research team reviews the full list with you.
Key Inclusion Criteria
• Adults age 18–65 years
• BMI 27–45 kg/m² (overweight or obese)
• Otherwise generally healthy

Key Exclusion Criteria
• Type 1 or type 2 diabetes
• Clinically significant ECG abnormality
• Participation in another clinical trial within the prior 30 days

What Participation Involves
What can I expect?
This is an early-phase study lasting up to 42 weeks. Participants receive tirzepatide together with the investigational agent and are followed closely with study visits that include safety assessments, body-weight measurements, and blood draws to characterize how the medication behaves in the body.
