Diabetic retinopathy is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness — and in its early, most treatable stages, it causes no symptoms at all. Annual retinal screening is recommended for nearly everyone with diabetes, yet many patients miss it. We bring that screening into our office so it does not fall through the cracks.
How It Works
Using a Topcon retinal camera, we capture high-resolution images of the back of your eye during a routine visit — quickly, comfortably, and in most cases without dilating drops. The images are reviewed for signs of diabetic retinopathy and other changes. When findings warrant it, we coordinate prompt referral to an ophthalmologist, while routine results spare you an extra appointment.
