We were the first practice in San Diego to place the Eversense implantable continuous glucose monitor, and we are an Eversense-authorized implantation center. Eversense is a long-term CGM: a small sensor placed just under the skin that lasts up to 12 months, instead of the 10–14 days of standard stick-on sensors.
How Eversense Is Different
Standard CGM sensors are worn on the surface of the skin and replaced every 10 to 14 days. Eversense is different: the sensor is placed just under the skin in a brief in-office procedure and monitors glucose continuously for up to 12 months. A removable transmitter is worn over the sensor site, sending real-time readings, trend arrows, and alerts to your phone, and it can be taken off without losing the sensor.
